We are the only company in Kitimat that can provide vessel agency, customs brokerage and freight logistics services for our customers. Our Customs Brokerage services and logistics services are provided through our parent company, G.W. Nickerson Co. Ltd. located in Prince Rupert. Through our office in Prince Rupert we can clear shipments through Customs anywhere in Canada and ensure safe handling and on-time delivery of cargo shipments.
History
Kitimat Shipping Agencies has been operating in the Port of Kitimat Since 1983. Purchased by parent company G.W. Nickerson Co. Ltd. (based in Prince Rupert) in 1994 and with over 20 years of experience in the Port of Kitimat and over 90 years in the Northwest, Kitimat Shipping Agencies comes complete with the comfort and reliability that only an established and full-service agency can provide. Kitimat Shipping Agencies have worked as General Agents for many Tanker operating companies such as Waterfront Shipping, Odjfel, Jo tankers and Chevron. In addition to tanker vessel's our company has vast experience with Bulk and Break bulk vessels loading and/or discharging cargoes at the Rio Tinto Alcan Facilities. We have worked with various bulk/breakbulk and heavy lift companies such as MedBulk, Sanko, Star, BBC and Hansa Heavy Lift.
